Hydro Flask Review

Hydro Flask 24 oz Water Bottle | Stainless Steel & Vacuum Insulated | Standard Mouth with Leak Proof Flex Cap | Cobalt Blue

My review of the Hydro Flask, stainless steel, and vacuum insulated water bottles.

Personally, I think they are one of the greatest water bottles in the world to have. I discovered mine during a celebration that was going on in downtown Denver, CO. It was 100 degrees out and water was expensive, but you could it cool. The water got hot way too fast. On miserably hot day, most people want something cool to drink. I came across the Hydro Flask booth about that time and she explained to me all the specifications and I was still skeptical. So she took a water bottle, added ice and water, then sat it in the sun. She asked if I would come back a few hours later and she would show me. So I did and I was amazed. Most of the ice had melted, but the water was still cool as if swimming in a nice cool body of water. I knew then I would buy a few because our hike to the Grand Canyon was coming up. Always liking to try new things, I had to check it out and see it for myself.

When we went to the Grand Canyon we filled them, stopped at water stations that had cool water and refilled them, let them stay in the sunshine for hours after 24 to 48 hours, the water was still cool. It wasn’t hot, warm, or anything other that you wouldn’t want to drink on miserably hot summer day at 120 degrees outside. I love the Hydro Flask and own several myself.

Hydro Flask

They come in several shapes and sizes with different shapes and sizes of lids. You can buy replacement parts, lids, etc. for them and the best part is it is backed by a Lifetime Warranty. I have never seen a sport or water bottle do that.

      • Your design in mind: It has a standard mouth, which is ideal for sipping, while still accommodating ice cubes. Also, it has safety at the top-of-mind, as the bottles are made out of non-toxic BPA-free plastics & 18/8 food-grade stainless steel.
      • It’s non-slip grip: Unlike other leading water bottles, Hydro Flask has a powder coat, which does not rub off, which gives you a solid grip. The Powder Coat works with the premium TempShield insulation, which prevents condensation from forming on the outside of the bottle, perfect for needing to keep your grip on it, to give you exactly what you want in an everyday refreshment delivery system.
      • I It is just the right size: It meets your everyday hydration needs in one container, all while keeping it piping hot or ice-cold and fitting comfortably and conveniently in your hand or your vehicles’ cup holders and bicycle bottle racks.
      • It has insulation innovation: The double-walled, vacuum insulated Temp-Shield Insulation, the same technology used in all Hydro Flask products, will ensure that your beverage of choice maintains its temperature for many hours to come. Hot drinks up to 12 hours, and cold drinks up to 24 hours.

They are insulated, flexible, and durable: Designed with stainless steel pivots and a flexible strap, this cap moves when you do. Plus, it’s made with Honeycomb Insulation to keep drinks cold up to 24 hours or hot up to 12 — no matter what the weather’s doing outside.

There are many pros and cons to the hydro flask insulated bottle, as you can see.

PROS: Insulated, keeps temperature (hot for 6 to 12 hours), cold for 24 hours. Easily carried. You can strap it to your hiking pack, bicycle, or sit it in your car. Powdered coat for easy non-slip grip. Double walled vacuum insulation. Different mouths with different lids, so you can get your choice. Spill proof lid or cap. LIFETIME WARRANTY!

CONS: They scuff easily. If dropped too much, they can be dented or the lid broken.

So as you can see, my lists of PROS has done a lot for me, plus I’m an everyday Hydro Flask user. I like to keep my things cold while I’m out hiking, camping, or taking pictures. You have to stay hydrated while you are out and there not anything refreshing about warm water. I would not take another water bottle over this one because I haven’t found anything better.

They are also very well priced, depending on the size, and mouth from $34.95 and up or down. It will be the best investment you make for miserably hot summers day. They also make them to where you can put soup in them and keep it warm. Nice for a chilly day outdoors in the snow.

Try one today because you will not regret it at all. Do not just take my word for it. Go get you one and tell me what you think.

Outdoor Camping

It’s that time of year again, where people who love the outdoors and nature decide to go camping. I’m actually thinking about going this weekend to get away from the stress of daily life. Of course, as you all know. I will have my camera and gear with me. I may even take my tripod and set it up in a place where there might be high wildlife traffic. It’s also going to be a holiday weekend, so who knows what may appear or what I might find in the country.

Things you should take Camping

When I say camping, I do not mean I’m going to take a huge tent and put a bed in it. I will be simple, because that is the best way to go. The more you take, the more you have to keep up with. The more you pack in, the more you pack out. These are just things I start with.

  1.    I take a tent, still too wild for a camper. There’s nothing like being in touch with nature to make you feel so relaxed. A blanket or sleeping bag for the night in case it gets cool. For those of you who cannot sleep on the ground, maybe a camper or eggshell mat would do you good. I know not everyone is as avid with the outdoors as I am.
  2. Take a cooler. You have to have something cold to drink and a way to keep your food cold while you are there. Even out in a campsite, they have places that sell ice. For those of you who have never tried, a creek keeps your drinks cold, if it is cool enough. Trust me, this time of year it is not cool enough.        https://amzn.to/2Mb0On8
  3. Depending on how long you are going to be there, I would suggest a few changes of clothes (not many, just enough). You do not want to carry your whole suitcase with you. Some campgrounds have showers, others do not. Those that do not, there is always a creek nearby, I hope. You wouldn’t want to camp anywhere that did not have some form of running water. When bringing bathing necessities, I would suggest environmentally friendly soap and shampoo.        https://amzn.to/2K5l8DB
  4. For me, my camera and gear is a necessity. I will not go anywhere without it and plan to do a lot of hiking. I will have to get a waterproof bag to put my equipment in, but no big deal because kayaking is just as fun. You can get some great pictures on the water as well. Then after kayaking and hiking, you have the nice water to cool off in.
  5. Bring plenty of drinking water. You can bring cold drinks or something else too, just make sure you have the water because it helps. You do not want to get dehydrated while you’re out in the sun all day.                                                                                                                                                                               https://amzn.to/2W2eRQi
  6.  Bringing cold drinks or something else too, just make sure you have the water because it helps. That could lead to going to the hospital and you do not want to ruin your weekend. Especially if you have big plans like I do.
  7. Now we will move on to sunscreen and insect repellent. You do not want to burn and be miserable for days when you get back. The insect repellent keeps the bugs at bay and for both of these items, I suggest you apply it liberally and very often.

Try to find a spot close to water

It may not be possible, but you always want to tr to find a place close to the water. The sound at night, along with the crickets and frogs, is so soothing. It can lull you to sleep easily or just be a place of practical wonder because you have the privilege to hear the sounds’ nature has to offer.

That is just as good as taking my photographs. The advantage of being close to the water is you can also make sure your campfire is completely out before you head home. That’s one thing you want to make sure of because the next time you go you want it to be there just as you left it and not in a destructive nature.

Keep your camp fire ring small. There’s not any need for bonfires because when you get up the next morning, you just add some small wood and get it going again. Then you can add more until you have it just. You will only be cooking or telling stories by the fire anyway, while listening to nature.

Pack out what you bring in

You want to make sure that you take out whatever you bring in. Do not leave your trash lying around. I find it useful to bring a garbage bag(just in case), so everything can be picked up and you can take it with you. When you get a chance, you can throw it away. Not only will everyone, including myself, thank you, but mother nature will too. You always have to have respect for nature so everyone can enjoy it. I do not want to go to a place that looks like a dump because someone else was careless and I’m sure no one else does either.

You have to have respect for the outdoors, and as an elder, mother nature will respect you as much as you respect her. You have to be respectful in order to get it in return. Like I said, the less you take in, the less you bring out.

Food Ideas

When I go camping, it’s usually just for a few days at a time. There have been several instances, where I have hiked weeks at a time or have been in the back country for weeks at a time. This is where I get my mind right, my soul straight, and have seen some of the most wonderful views and scenery that nature has to offer. Not one person would ever know they exist without having the experience of it.

It is absolutely the best way to return yourself back to normal, if there’s such a thing these days, and get away from all of the technological confusion. So this weekend, it will just be for a few days, so food ideas can be anything. You just want to make sure you carry light. So here are my recommendations:

    1. Sandwich meat and bread.
    2. Hotdogs, bologna, or ham, whichever that you like.
    3. We carry a big pot so 1 day you can have a stew, however everyone likes it. I can give you some recipes on that later.      https://amzn.to/2Ezs5cq
  1. You can also make up some meat grillers. Those are just meat, whatever you like, with vegetables. You put them by the fire and when they are finished cooking, you open them and eat right out of the aluminum foil.
  2. There will not be anywhere to get something to eat, usually, but bring what you like. Only make sure you bring enough for however many days you plan to stay.
  3. I will revisit on camping in longer stays at a later date, because I spent 14 days in the Grand Canyon, AZ, and I think that is a story that would interest everyone. If you camp locally for longer stays, I have recipes and tricks for those too\
  4. The most important thing is not to forget the smore’s. That’s one of the best camping desserts to have after a long day,to just chill and relax by the campfire.

Respect Mother Nature

Always remember, when you take care of mother nature, she will take care of and provide for you. There is no reason to be destructive to her or anyone else around you. There have been a lot of places that are no longer available to visit because of this. I’m just a peace, love, and happiness kind of woman, that holds the upmost respect for the world we live in and mother nature. I wish everyone else did the same, because everyone would be so much happier.

My life is so much better with, my hikes, walks, swims, and of course, my photography and I can not wait until I get back to show you more pictures. But of course I’m not leaving until Friday night or Saturday morning because of my job. The one thing I can tell you for sure is, it’s gonna be a blast.

I cannot wait to give you guys some pictures to look at when I get back. I’ll be here until Friday or Saturday, so until then I will leave you with something nice to look at even though I know the pictures I will take will be completely different. Imagination is the key. Passion and drive is what keeps us going to succeed.

I welcome any and all comments and feel free to e-mail me anytime. Just remember this weekend (after Friday or Saturday), I will not be available again until Monday, so I will back with any questions, comments, concerns, or discussions on Monday.

I hope you all have a great holiday weekend!

Much success,

Sherrane W

Rainy Days

How to deal

Today was going to be the day that the sun was going to shine so I could get some good lighting to take the pictures I wanted to take. By the time I got everything together and my equipment ready, the storms hit fiercely.

The fact that I was disappointed is and understatement. The disappointment was being in the house most of the day and trying to decide what I was going to do. There were several decisions for me to make there. I could do laundry, clean house, sweep the floors, but since my house doesn’t get that dirty anyway, I went another route as to how my day was to be planned.

Lazy Day

I decided, since I’ve been working so much, that today was going to be my lazy day. Knowing I have to go back to work tomorrow anyway, so why not. I laid around like most people, but I don’t watch much television ad read for a little while. That’s my second to the best hobby in the world. That was fine and relaxing for a little while until the urge hit me and I had to work on this and on the photos I have on my computer.

Being Constructive

I granted myself a lazy day, which I do more often than I should. Then it just hit me that I needed to go through my photos and get rid of the ones that weren’t any good or of use to me. If you’re not into photography, you really don’t realize how time-consuming this is. Yesterday when I was out taking pictures, I uploaded 1500 when my day was done. That’s as bad, if not worse than a school teacher grading papers back when I was in school and we didn’t have computers.

So I dragged out my computer, and went to work. Remember it’s not really work to me because it’s my passion driven by my desire to make something I want. I went through all my pictures from yesterday, and decided on the ones I wanted to keep.

I then went through some old pictures and played with them and added different lighting and came up with some really good pictures that started out darker before, when I took them. There were still some I could not fix so I tossed them. When I was finished with all of that, the sun finally decided to show itself.

The timing was wrong for what I wanted to do because I was losing the lighting, so I finally decided to relax for a while. My body needed it because since I didn’t get to go today, it was on overload and I felt overwhelmed. It’s easy to do when you have a task at hand that needs to be accomplished instead of being put off. I will tell you I can procrastinate quite a bit except when it comes to the work I love and desire. My Passion keeps me on an even keel because I know I will make myself happy and accomplish more than I ever thought I would.

Dropping the ball

So now you see that I did not drop the ball on today s project. I might not have finished what I wanted to get done, but I accomplished a lot more than I actually expected to. Having the desire to complete my passion kept me going through it all. If it were not for that, I would have had a lazy day today.

I have decided to incorporate more outdoor pictures in the ones I take if different themes. People love pictures and canvases. We as a group, by selling them, have to give them a wide variety and an array of stunning beautiful photos. One person may not like what the other is after and vice/versa. There’s a wide audience out there and I plan to have something for them all.

The more of a variety you have, the more of an audience you can reach. Do not feel afraid to make a separate Facebook page just for this. You have a private life, then you have a business. They do not need to run together because then, people might not want to deal with you because of the posts either you or someone else put on your pages. You do not need the negativity, The same should go for any account you have.

But always take the negative comments with the goods one. Do not let them bring you down, because you will self-destruct that way. Instead, think of it as constructive criticism, and turn it around in your favor. Not everyone is into the same thing as you are and let that be. Do what you love and enjoy. That’s what makes you happy.

This is where we also do not drop the ball. Stay positive and good things will come your way. I plan for them to come my way. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. All that matters is you and your happiness. Have the desire, passion, and drive to do something you love. I do.

Today’s theme: Be Always constructive, even when you don’t want to be. There will be the day when you can do as you please, have that lazy day or 2, or even decide to travel and take this job with you to be able to work when you do or do not want to work. Work hard now, it pays off later, when we shall soon find out.

I just recently moved home, found this to help me succeed, and plan on making my life the best it can be, because I want to do what I want and need to do. There’s no stopping me. I do not care if it takes me years. But my goal is 3 months to make money with all the things I can do and in 6 months, if I want to travel, that’s what I will do.

Much Success

Stress relief

There are very many side effects of working too much. I would know because I work a 9 to 5 job during the week with some overtime, Then I have merchandising jobs that I do on a part time basis, when I have time. I come home daily and I work on here until I feel the need to quit.

I am a fast learner and like to go through things quickly if it makes money, but I also know I need to slow down some too and add a little more sleep to my schedule. I know I will as soon as I start profiting on this, because I can do it from anywhere. There are other jobs that I have lined up to bring in a little income elsewhere. It may not be much, but it’s something

No Sleep

When you are constantly working at making money to have the lifestyle that you want, not even extraordinary, you find yourself doing multiple tasks to make ends meet. That’s where you need to slow down. Too many will cause you to wear down quickly.

When you do not get much sleep, you can be ill, lose sight of your goals, and you are never happy. All the other jobs you do seem endless and there’s not any happiness in your life. You have no time for family. Which is what everyone needs. Slow down some and re-organize yourself and make sure you get the proper 8 hours of sleep at night or day, whichever shift you work.

Working too much can cause you to have anxiety, which of course leads to other problems in you body. You need to keep yourself healthy at all times. It causes too much stress and worry that can wear your body down fast. Then the only thing you want to do is sleep or run. Neither one of these is and option. When anxiety hits you full force, it causes depression and you are never happy or happy with yourself.

Stress is part of out everyday lives, regardless of how we do things. The technological world causes more stress than anything. I’m not talking having an entrepreneurship or an online business. It is just the technology of cell phones, hearing the news, or even reading the paper. Every time you turn around, everyone is tuned in and let’s the world around them consume them.

Life was meant to be lived without the worry of everything that goes on in other people’s business. I live my life for myself and everyone should too. The world has turned us into robots and when I look at people they are looking down. No one looks up or around to actually see what is going on around them in the world today. There’s where the beauty in life is. When you look up and around you.

I do not blame it all on technology. It seems people really just do not care anymore about the world around them and what goes on in their daily lives. They are too consumed with what is going on in others lives. That not only causes stress and worry, it also causes problems for those involved.

Stress Free

I guess that’s why I do some of the things I do.  Photography, nature, and the outdoors help me to relax and even my body out. It doesn’t take all day, but that’s where I am. This job will make me money and when it does I can slow down a little more or maybe a lot more. I will have more time for my family and friends.

This will be my primary job and I will not have the stress of working as hard as I do. Hard work is involved, I know, but it’s what I love. I’ll be able to do this job from anywhere.

When I spend my time out in nature, that’s where I wind down and give my body the break it needs. My worries go away. The anxiety subsides into a mellow feeling. The stress is relieved. This job I have is not hard. It is more of a calming and relaxing nature.

I love this job and taking pictures and would completely give it my all to make money just to have the freedom and stress free life I have been searching for. This is my getaway from all the stress and pressures of life, even if it’s only 2 or 3 days, because one day, it will be all year round and the only thing I do.

Why must you ask? Because it is something I am passionate about, have the desire to do, and love. This is what makes me happy. Someone could offer me a job tomorrow, to take pictures, and you better believe I would be right there making money, writing, and enjoying every minute of it.

Passion and desire is all it takes. With hard work and dedication to make you something great. Having something you love to do is wonderful. That’s one of the best parts of life. Enjoy it while you can.

Twisted Trees

Several hours ago I was out with my camera hiking and seeing all the wonders of nature. I happen to come across this, which I call the twisted tree. To me it was an amazing thing to see because twisted trees are not something you come across every day. So after about thirty minutes and several shots, this is only one of the pictures I was satisfied with.

Twisted Trees

The Lighting

Looking at it at a first glance, you may see nothing but roots growing out of the side of a hill. To me it was so much more than that. Standing in the creek, feet wet, the sun just shining perfectly through the trees to capture the image I would like to see.

You can see the green grass and moss growing, along with the creek water at the edge of the tree. Most importantly, the light shining down on the twisted tree root makes it stand out to where you can not only see the twisted tree, but also the surroundings of nature at its finest.

The reason I decided on this picture was because it was a good day and it felt like something was guiding me to try to do the best job I could with what I had to work with. The scenery was awesome and I actually hiked to this spot and it took a lot of effort to get the angle I was at without getting completely soaked. Although today was warm enough to go swimming, I had no plans to.

Hiking for the shot

I had to hike a pretty good way to take this picture and today was a scorcher. The job, if you want the right or most excellent picture, is never an easy feat. It always takes work and then the talent comes because you have the passion and desire for it.

If I had neither, I would have missed the shot completely because I would not have cared. That would have been a disappointment to me, because nature is my meaning, background, and studio.

Having the perfect studio right in front of you is one of the greatest gifts mother nature could have given us. To just look and not take advantage of what we have been given for free, would be a disappointment.

Taking Care of Mother Nature

One of my earlier posts, I mentioned we all need to slow down in this life. We need to enjoy it while we can because when tomorrow comes, we may never know what will happen.

When going out to take pictures, make sure you do not leave any trash behind. Make sure you leave it how you found it so other people can enjoy it as well. It disappoints me that we, as a human race, give no regard to the beauty we have been given. We should take care of it as if we would take care of our own child.

If you think about it, mother nature is our mother of the earth, and we should respect her as if we were respecting our own mother. They say have respect for your elders and she is the eldest of them all.

If You Have Desire/Passion

Everyone has the passion for something they love to do and this is mine. It’s about what you love to do. When you love to do something it gives you the desire and passion to do it. This is what drives the human race to be the best they can be.

My passion is taking pictures of the outdoors, nature, and wildlife. This is what I love to do. The passion also gives me the opportunity to make myself better at what I do. I have not only found that it gives me the chance to better at my art, but it has also given me the desire to make myself a better person. People are always better when I’m out in nature because it is so relaxing and enjoyable. People are a better person for having the passion and the desire to make more of myself.

Never Easy

It may not be easy but I found it is easy for me because it is something I love. I have found that the hardest part is finding the right pictures, knowing where to go, and getting the lighting the way I want it.

I hope you have enjoyed this article about part of my journey today because there is more to come. Many of you may enjoy the picture (more to come) I had added along with it so you can see from my eyes and point of view. Remember, it may not be perfect, but if it’s yours and you like it, that’s all the accomplishment you need.

I welcome any and all comments and will take constructive criticism very well. Enjoy the rest of your day and night as I will be getting up early tomorrow, if the weather is not too bad. I will do more picture taking and maybe a little fishing. I will try to go to the waterfalls.

Practice, practice, and more practice so it will help better enable you to be successful. Success is one of the greatest accomplishments in the world. Especially when the world is so busy today.

To Your Success and Mine,

Protecting your equipment

There are all different ways to protect your equipment while you’re are out taking photos, especially on rainy days.

You may want to purchase equipment to protect from wind, sand, and sun.

Equipment to protects from freezing weather or snowy conditions. Equipment to protect from rainy days.

Either way there are ways to protect your equipment because cameras and lenses are not cheap, especially if you’re rent them to get the closer zoom in angle for far away shots.

There are also equipment bags to carry all of your essentials in one pack so you’re have everything with you’re and at arms reach. These bags are easy to use, carry and store all of your items for protection in one great spot.

The digital SLR camera backpack is one of them and also had a case with padded dividers so you won’t have to worry about getting anything scratched or broken. Protection is key here, regardless of the situation.

Camera carrying bags

When out in the rain, snow or sand, they have lens coats, rain cover sleeves for camera and lens protection. These will help during the rain, misty weather, and if you’re live in the colder regions, keep the snow from damaging your camera. I would suggest using a lens coat, rain cover sleeve, for camera and lens protection. You will always want to keep your equipment protected as it is an investment in your future. They also have pro and pro 2 camera protection for the dedicated photographer that uses this to make their living. This is what we are working towards.

It is always a good idea to have some sort of protection when in weather conditions, even for your body. The weather can change suddenly and drastically.

They have waterproof ponchos with hoods that are lightweight and reusable, which is what I usually have around. They are for all ages and sizes and protect you’re from the elements. You don’t want to be enjoying the day only to be sick tomorrow.

Emergency ponchos is another way to go, although these are not reusable. They come in all sizes, with hoods but are not as durable ad the reusable ones. You do not want them to be heavy as if you’re cannot do anything, but you’re also want to protect yourself. That’s the main priority here so your desires can become your dreams, day in and day out, not just once a month, unless that is how you’re would prefer to do it. ME? I have to be constantly outside and in nature to be happy and to see some tings I have seen. Otherwise, life is just one boring mess, doing the same thing day in and out. I am spontaneous and could be anywhere at anytime when the mood strikes.

Outdoor Photography -Lifestyle changes

With outdoor photography you will find there will be many lifestyle changes for you. The day is beautiful so you would rather be out taking breathtaking photos than working. Work we must do until this becomes our full time job. You will must always be prepared for the expected and unexpected of the day. .

Getting Ready

The day has begun and you wanted that beautiful sunset before work begins even though you know you will have to get up super early to start your day and maybe at the end you will be tired. Its all worth it. Day in and day out. The goal you have set forth for yourself for the day is an accomplished one, You will be amazed and proud of yourself. Always practice.

Knowing where to go

Which way the sun rises is where you want to be. Take more than one by all means because I would love to see some myself. Dreamless possibilities if you know where to go and who else knows the place you live better than you? You will know the best places where you can catch that sunrise or sunset, whether it be on top of the hill or a mountain overlooking that stream with the green grass meadow below full of wildflowers.

Being prepared

You of course want to always be prepared for any type of weather because if the day starts out sunny and nice, it doesn’t mean it’s going to end that way. Always try to keep something for every weather event in your car. You will wouldn’t want to get wet or be so cold you can’t do anything because you forgot your jacket. Its nice to be warm and cozy, even in the below degree temperatures. You will want to have your functionality and desire with you. You will wouldn’t want to give up the perfect day to freeze, especially if there is a lot of activity outside going on outside. It would just be a waste of your time. Time that could be spent looking and going through all of your other pictures,

Knowing when to stop for the day

Getting started is the easy part. But remember if you want to look at those pictures when you get home and go through them please do. Just allow yourself enough time to do so. I can stay out all day and enjoy it. When I get that sunset, unless I see an owl or 2, I’m calling it a day. There will be days that I’m so tired from hiking, I’ll wait until the next day to go over my pictures. Starting an online gallery is great. Having a portfolio at home is great but requires a lot of patience and work. But all in all it is worth every amount of time spent doing what I love. The same should be said for you.

Always keep fresh ideas

Keep your ideas fresh. You will do not want to have the same things all around you. When something new comes to mind, keep a small notebook around and write them to keep them fresh you w with what you want to see. Most times you will forget what it was in the first place. This way you have it on hand and can go back to it at any time to refresh your memory, Want to try something new but don’t have time now, write it down. Keep your ideas fresh and positive and there’s not a doubt in my mind you will succeed and benefit from what you have accomplished.

To You will Future Endeavors,

Much success!

Being Prepared

Dreams and desires are one of the things that keep us going. Helping to take that extra mile to make your dreams come true. Everyone has it. It is just whether someone wants to do it.

The dream for my passion quickly became desire when I got into the types of photos I wanted to take. I just didn’t want to be an ordinary photographer. I wanted everything to be special. Even when I have to wait hours for the alligator to cross the road so he can be seen in his own environment. I couldn’t just make a blank canvas and be satisfied. Everything had to mean something or be special to me.

That’s where you should start, is with a blank canvas and fill it in as you go. Your desire will quickly change into passion. Then your passion becomes your dreams. I have even taken pictures of birds in a field just resting or a tree growing out of a rock. The favorite I have had the chance to take recently is where the new tree is sprouting from a dead stump, trying to triumph over the damage mother nature has done.

When desire hits, it does not have to be a gorgeous day outside. It could be gloomy, raining, and cloudy out. These are just some examples as to where your desire will take you. Once you start, it will not matter what the weather is like, you are going to want different sorts of photos in your portfolio so you have the option to add and replace that blank canvas any time you desire.

Always remember to keep your lenses and mirrors clean for the optimum photo. When you are out in the weather, make sure you have camera protection, body protection, and depending on how bad it gets, pants, boots, and a rain jacket. You definitely don’t want to get stuck in a lightning storm, although they are the best kinds of pictures to feature in your portfolio. Always make sure you are a safe distance away and in shelter like a home or car. The last thing you need is waking up in the hospital and trying to figure what happened.

When out hiking for photos always make sure you are wearing the proper shoes and gear. Keep plenty of water to stay hydrated, and if you are going to be out for a while, I suggest a few snacks. (fruits, berries, granola and granola bars, and maybe some nuts you like in there.) You’re going to more interested in your surroundings than what you are eating. Always take breaks, especially when feeling tired.

Protect yourself against the weather by having and applying sunscreen and insect repellent. You do not want your passion and desire to become a chore so things like that I keep in my car along with a dry towel, just in case.

Remember to always let someone know where you are going. Do not forget your camera. It’s a must have.

Happy trails, rain or shine, to you for the projects your desire has become.

To our success,

About Sherrane and making the most of outdoor/nature photography

Welcome to Walker’s outdoor and nature photography

Welcome to Walker’s outdoor and nature photography, where I hope we can learn together to help make the place you call home a beautiful landscape of things you have seen or places you have been. It will truly be the experience of a lifetime to have something you can call your own because you have created it.

The story of how I got interested in photography

I have always been into photography since I was a kid. Now since, I have grown, traveled to different states, places and have seen some of the most beautiful things in outdoors, nature, and beyond it has excited me to find what I can do with my photography beyond just captivating photographs that have no excitement in them, They say a picture can capture the beauty of everything and it truly does.

I have learned through the eyes of the camera lens that I can not only turn my home into the beautiful place I love but also loved the idea of making people smile and taking pictures. It has also helped for getting my name out there to sell pictures and to pick up different photography jobs.

To wake up every day and see the things that you love is the is most awesome experience anyone can ask for. To be able to say I have been there and that is my view. Being able to truly love is to open your heart to the different endeavors in your life. When you are happy with what you do and yourself, is to love completely what you are. It took a long time for me to realize that, but now I could not be any happier than I am.

Why I want to help people

I love to help people realize they do not need to have or be a professional when it comes to the things they love or are passionate about. To help someone realize they can love and be proud of the work they do or have done. Helping someone to realize their dreams or goals in a way that matters to them is an extraordinary experience for me. Just knowing I have helped 1 person or 5,000 people realize they can do what they need or want to do helps me realize anyone can be exceptional. Helping someone learn how to be happy with their work and with themselves, is a reward in itself.

Working towards your goals and helping you achieve them

My goal is to help you realize your dreams, even if it’s on a part-time basis to make sure you are happy with the product you create and with yourself. The more you do, the more people will actually see your work, which can lead to other things like photography jobs (someone you know getting married or your class reunion is coming), and more. Making your home as your gallery can lead to so much more and people will actually see your work, ask, and, comment about what you have accomplished. When that happens, there will be offers on the table, granted you have a portfolio to show. I want to help you become more financially stable in what you do, help your dreams come true, enrich your life and lifestyle, and for you to be happy with yourself. Let’s face it, in life’s challenges and changes today, we could all use a little more happiness in our lives. I know it sure helped me a lot, and let’s face the fact that this is one way you can slow down from your daily work and grind of the week. It’s all a task, but a very enjoyable one that you can spend any amount of time on.

When I traveled to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, it was beautiful and the best experience of my life. Not only did I have spectacular views for me and my camera, but it turned out to be the experience of a lifetime. I would do it again in a heartbeat because there are so many summer climates that you will go through from exceptional heat, spectacular water and exceptional shade. When I say this, I do not just mean the top views either. Hiking the way down and back up again is the best way to experience it all. I would recommend it to anyone. After you have done it, topics for conversations are available for years to come.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best to your success!
